ALANYA CASTLE

Places to visit in Alanya for those who love cultural tours:

1) ALANYA CASTLE: TheAlanya length of the walls of the castle is close to 6.5 km. It is the oldest known symbol of Alanya. It is approximately 250 meters above sea level. The current appearance of the castle, the first construction of which belongs to the Hellenistic periods, is the state that has survived from the 13th century. It was rebuilt by the Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat in the 1220s. There are cisterns built to meet more than a thousand water needs. There are 83 towers and 140 bastions on the walls in total. The construction of the walls is based on a great plan. The gathering place of the walls is the red tower.  sections such as, İçkale, Adam, Cilvarda cape, Arap Evliyası, Esat Bastion, Tophane and Shipyard. For photography enthusiasts, it is possible to pose in front of the red tower and the city walls at night and capture magnificent images. Alanya castle has been used for many years to protect Anatolia from invaders.

2) DIMÇAY CAVES:

The dim caves located on the Dim valley are at an altitude of approximately 1600 meters. It is very easy to reach from Alanya by asphalt road. The cave interior is 400 meters long. There is a wonderful lake in the last part. The interior is illuminated by electricity. The temperature of the Dim cave is 18 degrees throughout the year. Numerous stalactites have formed inside and water drips from place to place. If you look carefully at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains during your visit to Dim cave, you can see mountain goats on the slopes. A visual feast awaits you inside the cave. Outside, enjoy the magnificent view thanks to the binoculars located opposite the course. When you go down to the Dim valley, the resting places built on the river will blow your mind. 

3)SYEDRA ANCIENT CITY:

The ancient city of Syedra, whose existence dates back to the 3rd century BC, is 20 km from Alanya. The ancient city, which lived until the 13th century, welcomes you with a magnificent door. There are hundreds of historical artifacts unearthed by the works done inside. The most striking is the water cisterns. It stands as if it defies time. There are Bath, Shops, Temple and walking path and a very beautiful ancient theatre. On the floor, there are magnificent mosaics in places. When you go to the ancient city of Syedra, which is built on a steep hill, do not forget to buy sports shoes and water.

4) ALANYA ARCHAEOLOGY MUSEUM:

Alanya museum, which contains hundreds of valuable artifacts, was established in 1967 and consists of two parts. Archeology and Ethnology departments. Romans, Lydians, Byzantine and Greek artifacts are very common. The most precious work is the bronze statue of Heracles found in Alanya in 1967. In the ethnology section, personal life items are exhibited.

CLEOPATRA BEACH:

It is the most beautiful beach in Alanya. With its fine sandy beach and deep blue sea, magnificent beach parties are held. The beach, named after the Roman queen Cleopatra, is flooded by tourists in summer. In Cleopatra, you can do water sports such as jet ski, banana, parasailing. Also, if you want to treat yourself to a nice cocktail from the beach bars, this is the place for you.

BOAT AND YACHT TOURS:

There are dozens of boats and yachts departing from Alanya pier. Some depart in the morning and take you around the Mediterranean during the day.
